Lake Titicaca, a large freshwater lake bordering Peru and Bolivia, has captivated the world from centuries. The world’s highest navigable lake as well as the largest one in South America is a perfect blend of nature and culture. Uros Floating Islands

Amantaní Island

As there is no lodging on the island, tourists stay in the homes of the native people and dine with them.

Taquile Island is famous for its high-quality handicraft tradition. While knitting is done exclusively by men, weaving and yarn are done by women. Apart from handcrafting, other chief sources of income for people include agriculture, textile work, and bartering. Their economy is also based on fishing and tourist-generated income.

Isla del Sol

Also known as ‘Island of the Sun’, Isla del Sol is also one of Lake Titicaca’s largest islands. The island is hilly and rocky without any paved roads. It is known for possessing over 180 ruins out of which the Sacred Rock and Chicana are the most popular.
