The plot revolves around Donald’s visit to Lake Titicaca. He takes sailboats and discovers the beauty of the city. Initially, he finds it difficult to adapt to the conditions being at a considerably higher altitude. Finally, when he starts finding it comfortable, he finds his way around. He is always instructed by the narrator about the ways of his new locality. He even warns Donald of the strong winds of the Lake. This is a reference made to the real Lake Titicaca where the winds are indeed very strong. He discovers street artists and merchants. After making friends with a child and a Llama, Donald takes a ride on the Llama. The two of them get caught in another adventurous journey. The high altitude adding to this adventure, makes Donald reach the other side of the mountain. Having dropped Donald in his new site, the Llama bids farewell. Finding himself in a pottery market, Donald takes away back home in a pottery vase.
